Base coats<\/h1>\n

If you are thinking of painting the walls of your house, before applying the paint you must prepare the surfaces with a base coat or a fixative.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The base coat should be applied in all of those cases where the surfaces of internal or external walls need to be smoothed before being painted<\/strong> with a breathable product or coatings mixed with synthetic substances.<\/p>\n

Barozzi Vernici manufactures base coats that can be used on plasterboard panels, new plaster and old paint<\/strong>. These coats hide the small defects of the plaster, improve the paintwork and help the surface absorb the coating more evenly.<\/p>\n

Universal, uniforming acrylic base, with fibers for plasterboard and other surfaces.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is ideal on plasterboard to obtain medium plaster effect. It smooths the roughness of the support and it hides the small defects of plaster, such as hairline cracks, patches, and old and unsound parts of plaster.<\/p>\n

It can be used as connecting layer for the application of synthetic paints on already painted and aesthetically unpleasant plaster, due to patches and irregularity of the surface.\u00a0 It can be overcoated with our traditional acrylic paints for exteriors or with paints for interiors.<\/p>\n

It is an intermediate mineral, filling primer particularly suitable as coloured based coat for plaster (intonachino), such as our Intocap or Intosil. \u00a0It can be used as connecting layer for the application of synthetic paints on already painted plasters or as pigmented, first coat to improve the covering effect and make absorption uniform. It can be overcoated with traditional, acrylic paints for exteriors (such as our Magnum Filling)\u00a0 or with paints for interiors (for example our Gold and Platinum). It can be used also on plasterboard surfaces, that have been previously prepared.<\/p>\n
